A bit about me

In 1991 computers became a part of my life starting with a trip to the bowling ally with my four children. I was oblivious to their existence before that... but that's another story.

Since 1997 I have been working in web and graphic design. I owned and operated a web design forum during 1999 thru 2003. During 2003 my forum and its member base merged with a new forum based in England, where I stayed on as a co-administrator/ mentor. I also spent several years mentoring in other design forum venues as a co-administrator or moderator. Today, a visit to some of the great forums is rare for me. While I don't get out much to mentor, I still use these great tools for information and keeping up with technology whenever I can.

1998 - mid 2000 I studied at the University of Illinois on-line in scripting/ coding, JavaScript and graphic design... but most of my education, style and disciplines came from the trenches, self-study and mentoring over the past 12 years. In 2003 I was invited by an Australian software company to beta test the GUI of their multimedia software. Lots of fun!

Web and graphic design isn't just a job to me, its a passion, from coding to graphic creation I stay rapt. I have worked at freelance design for 7 years designing for small to medium size business and individuals' projects.
