Multimedia simply defined is communicating in more than one way. For example: Ever say, "Look!" while pointing in the sky? By using sound and motion you send a message, a presentation.

In the digital world, multimedia creation software of all types is used to communicate in the same way.

Pros and Cons: you can read on and on about; should I use multimedia? Or shouldn't I? Why? Search engines can't read content in multimedia websites, and they are not spider friendly for search engine indexing.

In fact multimedia websites can be spider friendly, pertinent content can be read, and search engines do index websites built in multimedia format.
